Our meetings are held on the Campus of Stony Brook University. Please see the directions section for details. This new location will allow us to continue enjoying the membership growth that has taken place over the past year. If you have never attended a meeting or have not been to one in the last 6 months it is time to come back. The excitement of new members and guests at each meeting is contagious. Catch the excitement.

A completely safe and friendly forum that will give you the chance to explore your speaking potential.
When you give a presentation at work do you want to be more dynamic?
When you meet with your co-workers would you like to speak with more confidence?
Would you like to increase your confidence in speaking to a group of two to two hundred?
All this is not only possible but completely realistic. At our meetings you will be able to present a prepared speech on any topic you would like. You will also be asked to participate in a variety of speaking exercises that will help you to think on your feet and to speak with confidence.
Best of all is the fun. While at work, school or with friends you may not want to take a chance on trying to be humorous or to speak on an unknown topic. Here at Toastmasters we thrive on taking chances. Join us at a meeting and see where your voice can take you.
It is actually very simple. You speak and get feedback. Our meetings are designed so that everyone speaks at each meeting. Multiple opportunities are also presented. Respond to a table Topics question and you speak for 1-2 minutes. Give a prepared speech and that is is 5 -7 minutes of stage time. Perhaps you want to give an evaluation, 2-3 minutes and then there are the many roles that actually make the meeting work. Such as; Toastmaster, Wordmaster, Jokemaster, Ah counter, Tabletopics Master and other opportunities. How far can you go? That depends on how much you want to accomplish. The only thing that stands between you and your goals is that time before our next meeting. That would be the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 7:15pm. Your next step is to make the call, 631-255-3581 and get involved.

You wont regret it. Toastmasters currently has more than 200,000 members in 80 countries. Our club meets on the Stony Brook campus on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month from 7:15-9pm, please see our
membership information page.
